❓ FAQ
What metadata might be in my photo?
Photos may contain capture date/time, camera model, lens, exposure settings, ISO, shutter speed, flash, software, and GPS coordinates (latitude, longitude, altitude). GPS poses the biggest privacy risk.
Is my image uploaded to a server?
No. All processing happens locally in your browser using the exifr library and Canvas API. Nothing is uploaded.
Does stripping EXIF affect image quality?
This tool redraws the image on a Canvas and exports as PNG, so JPEG compression is not preserved. The visual content is unchanged, but PNG files may be larger than the original JPEG.
